Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the best method to quickly clean up messes. The best robot vacuums and mops I test had superior navigation and mapping. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds, as well as tangled wires.
They're also simple to use using an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and track what they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop with cutting-edge features look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and picked up human hair and pet hair nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It comes with a sleek application interface with a mini-map of your home and buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
Another noteworthy feature of the S8 is its ability to adjust its cleaning mode in accordance with dirt levels, thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will stop and clean its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
It comes with a range of other smart features too, including an alternative dock that connects to your plumbing to wash and clean the mop roller, without having you to manually refill it. You can also use voice commands to control the built-in voice assistant using the phrase "Hey Rocky" to specify rooms cleaning, modes and granular control options with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's one of a variety of robot vacuums with mops, but is priced at a lower price than the majority of competitors.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This involves establishing an account with the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though the robot can begin cleaning and mopping easily.
It's important to keep in mind that the mapping process can take a while and the Yeedi Cube may need a couple of attempts before it can get an accurate picture of your living space. The object detection feature is hit-and-miss. It was able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles, but it was stuck on a looser rug with tassels and needed to turn to free itself. These aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great option for those looking for an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do it all.
3. robot vacuums reviews Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete delivers a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping system uses a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubbing. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an absolute game changer that can reach places even robot vacuums can't.
The model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa, and a few additional clever features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home better and offer dynamic obstacle avoidance. The smart app allows you to customize a number of settings, including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging station at the end of each task to clean their pads and empty the dust bins and put the debris in a self sealing bag. This helps keep the system clean and stops allergens from circulating. Its battery life is long enough to handle large spaces without needing a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more expensive robot vacuum and mop models, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the price. It is equipped with powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle-avoiding. It also features an unique mopping method that utilizes a roller continuously sprayed with water to collect dirt and deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It avoided stairs and navigated close to walls without falling. However, it had trouble with fine engrained debris and was not always able to get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise level is also quite high, so it may be less of a set-and-forget model than others.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with docking systems that allow it to refill its clean water, empty the dust bin, dry and wash the mop, as well as empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easier and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with a regular schedule. You can control all of its functions through the Eufy app, which gives an overview of the system and plenty of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot mowers and vacuums available, and it offers impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with a decent accuracy, and the app allows users to fine-tune map coverage, set no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush is specifically designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it. This can be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mops that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system also includes intelligent carpet detection, lifting the pads up when they're near soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating them.
The docking station functions as an unmanned maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops, and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station features an integrated dust removal system that compacts dust, which allows for seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars less than the S8, this robot does a bang-up job at keeping my home office spotless and also tackle the corners of my tight apartment. It uses a laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D map of your home, so it knows what to avoid. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that can avoid things like dog bowls and toys (but not poop), unlike many vacuums.
Other fantastic features include a self-emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching brush that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also set cleaning schedules within the app and adjust the settings for each room in your home.
Similar to the S8 It also has multi-room smart mapping, and can differentiate between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood rugs with high-pile. It can also skip mopping rooms that are not dirty if you're looking to save time. It's an excellent option for those who have a variety of flooring in your home but do not want to invest the extra money for Roborock. Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice if you are looking for a versatile robot that can do both regular maintenance on a daily basis and touch-ups for wet messes. It offers a broad range of features including a self-emptying dustbin as well as the water refill dock, as well as adjustable settings within the app. It's extremely quiet, and it's able to move around furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It's not able to pick up the tangled tassels of a rug, and its battery drains faster than other models we've tested.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that provides powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests of vacuuming, but overall it did well. It also offers a variety of cleaning modes to suit your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' option for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for carpeted rooms. It will even remove and reconnect the mop pads, without getting your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in cramped spaces. It's quick and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces well. It's also extremely effective in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it can be configured to take a photo of each object it comes across (i.e. chew toys or socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they don't get removed during subsequent cleanings. The photos are secured and aren't connected to your account.
It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, however it isn't as effective at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes you clip onto the bottom of the bot, and it basically drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
